If you love the ocean, want to try something new, or have ever thought, “I’d love to work on a yacht one day,” then our Summer Deckhand Internship might just be the adventure you’ve been looking for.
This isn’t a sit-behind-a-desk kind of programme. You’ll be out on the water, learning from real captains, handling real boats, and getting a proper taste of life in the yachting world.
Get Hands-On With Our Yachts
From the moment you join, you’re part of the crew. You’ll be helping set up our yachts for charters, learning the basics of deck work, getting involved with ropes and docking, and seeing what it actually takes to run a smooth day out on the water.
No experience? Don’t worry, we teach you everything.
Yes… You Actually Get to Drive a Boat
One of the coolest parts of the internship is learning to drive our small tender boats. Under the captain’s guidance, you’ll practise manoeuvring, docking, and even doing guest drop-offs. It’s fun, confidence-building, and a great skill to have on your CV.
Training + Qualifications You Can Work Towards
If you’re thinking about taking yachting seriously, you’ll have opportunities to work towards proper industry certifications, including:
• Commercial Captain’s Licence
• STCW Basic Safety Training
• RYA Powerboat Level 2
Stew/Deck Experience Included
It’s not all ropes and anchors. You’ll also get a taste of the interior side of yachting. That means helping with guest service, food & drink, light interior duties, and generally supporting the crew during charters.
It’s a brilliant way to become a well-rounded stew/deck (and decide which side of yachting you prefer!).
